Jeanette Arsenault – Performer / Musician

Jeanette Arsenault is a bilingual Canadian singer/songwriter with 8 albums to her credit — mainly for adults and has recently finished recording a double children's album (30 songs) but not yet released filled with original & well loved songs in English, French, African & Iroquois. She has performed her bilingual shows at many schools — including working with Young Imaginations (Bringing Canada’s History and Culture Alive Through The Arts) and recently received her Royal Conservatory of Music Artists in the Schools Foundation certificate.

Jeanette Arsenault’s iconic "This Is My Canada/Mon cher Canada" anthemic song has been embraced by adults & children all across Canada and by Canadians around the world.  In addition to having sung it across Canada including across Western Canada as VIA Rail’s Artist On Board, she sang it for our Canadian Olympic Athletes in Salt Lake City, UT (2002), in Athens, Greece (2004), for the Vancouver Olympic Torch Relay (Picton ON, 2009) and the Pan Am Games Torch Relay (Trenton ON, 2015).

Her energetic uplifting made-for-schools, bilingual and interactive concert, “Proud to be an Acadienne-Canadienne, eh!”, has garnered many fans who sing along, clap along and dance along to songs such as “Acadian Moon”, “I’m A Canadian, Eh!” and they help compose a song listing places and things you can find across Canada from AtoZed with “My Aunt Went To Canada”.  Young French language learners love her song “I Have a Dog/J’ai un chien” as they make the appropriate animal sounds to the verses.  Instruments include piano, spoons & harmonica.

Geared to students from Jr K to Grade 8, Arsenault engages the students for a full 45-minutes of energy, fun, learning, history, storytelling & music.
