La Société francophone de Maillardville

The mission of La Société francophone de Maillardville is to promote, represent and defend the rights and interests of francophones in Maillardville and its surroundings, as well as to maintain the language and the French-Canadian culture.
The organization organises various events, such as:

Le Festival du Bois gathers francophiles and francophones for a weekend of celebration of music and French culture;                                                                Saint-Jean-Baptiste on June 24th celebrates the National French-Canadian Day;
Fête de Maillardville celebrates on September 16th the arrival of the first francophone pioneers in 1909;
Geocaching afternoon is a great and fun way for kids and adults to discover more about Maillardville’s French heritage!

La Société francophone de Maillardville in Coquitlam and CPF Tri-Cities organize a weekly Summer French Day Camp which runs for most of July and August.
Activities focus on French culture and include weekly field trips to places such as the Vancouver Aquarium or Fort Langley. The camp is intended for children with at least one year of French immersion.
Schedule: The summer camp will start every day, from 8:30 a.m to 3 p.m.
Morning drop-off and sign-in are from 8:15 to 8:30 a.m. After camp day care from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. This service is organized by Société francophone de Maillardville.
Every Thursday the children enjoy a special field trip! (Greater Vancouver Zoo; Maplewood farm; Science World; Suspension Bridge…)
