Sainte-Anne University, Halifax Campus

L'Université Sainte-Anne is the only French-language post-secondary institution in Nova Scotia and is one of the smallest universities in Canada. The surrounding community has a population of 10,000 French-speaking Acadians. The area is known for its natural beauty and especially for its safe environment.

A variety of university and college programs are offered in addition to customized language training. French Immersion programs are also available year round for students and adults who wish to perfect their French. A five week French Immersion teacher program is offered during the summer and is specifically designed for teachers, who wish to renew their didactic skills, to enrich their supply of pedagogical activities and to immerse themselves in a dynamic French atmosphere.

Students, adults and children as young as 10 years old of all language levels, are welcome in the one week program. Five, six and seven week programs are available which consists of workshops, activities and much more.

The Campus:
The campus has been welcoming more and more students who are newcomers to Canada. Whether it is to finish high school, complete a college program or a university degree, they all receive personalized attention.
Université Sainte-Anne offers a wide range of French as a Second Language programs and specializes in bringing French immersion students to the next level.
At Université Sainte-Anne you can earn a degree and learn French at the same time. The Integrated French Immersion Option allows you to count French credits towards your degree.

Camps and Programs:
The University offers credited spring and summer French immersion sessions.
By eating, sleeping, studying, working and playing in French, 24 hours a day to gain considerable proficiency and confidence in French.
- 5-week Spring Session in May and June
University students and adults who wish to perfect their French can benefit from the 5-week French immersion session in the spring.
-5 weeks summer program
Students from across Canada and overseas come to study and have fun during the summer session. Activities range from theme nights, excursions and whale-watching expeditions to canoeing and golf - all in French, of course. Students must be at least 15 years old to enroll. Many adults participate, too, and are housed in separate residences.
-1-week Program in August
Students must be at least 10 years old to attend.
