The Société historique de la Saskatchewan
The Société historique de la Saskatchewan is a non-profit organization founded in 1978 that is also registered as a charity. It aims to research, organize and disseminate the history of the french presence in Saskatchewan.
With the support of the Government of Saskatchewan, the Saskatchewan Historical Society is developing school workshops. A true complement to teachers' classes, the workshops revitalize Saskatchewan's curriculum through fun activities, interpretation and games. All workshops are developed in French, and the facilitator takes care to adapt to the linguistic level of classes to ensure the best possible experience.
All workshops are based on Saskatchewan curricula according to the two programs of:
- French as a second language (FLS), that is to say, the immersion program and the intensive French program;
- French as a Minority Language (LWF), that is, the Fransaskois program.
