En Famille, a not-for-profit association has been organizing 6-month language immersion exchanges for children age 9-16 in France, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Mexico, United Kingdom, Canada, and USA since 1978. Children and adolescents from two different countries spend a year together: 6 months welcoming and 6 months in the foreign country living with a host family. Over 3,000 children have already participated in this program and have became bilingual.
